Honey Cinnamon Canned Peaches
Ripe Peaches ( 2-3 lbs. per qt. jar)
9 cups water
1 cup DaBuzz Raw Honey
7 cinnamon sticks
Peel peaches. An easy way to do this is to place clean peaches in a pot of boiling water for 30 sec-1 min., then immediately transfer to a bowl of ice water. The skins will peel off easily.
Bring water and honey to a boil in saucepan/
Remove pits and slice peaches in half or in sections,
Note: You will notice a "seam" down one side of a peach. If you slice around the diameter of the peach following the line you will be able to pluck the pit right out.
In prepared jars that have been sterilized place a cinnamon stick at the bottom of each jar. Fill jars with peaches. If using halves place cavity side down. Pour over liquid mixture leaving 1/2" headspace. Place lids and process quart jars for 25 min.
Use only the freshest fruit for the best results. Follow directions for preparing jars for canning.
